CHARENCE HIGGINS (Ophelia) is a performing and teaching artist from Mississippi with degrees in Psychology and Theatre from Jackson State University and an MFA in Acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She made her Chicago theatre debut in Steppenwolf’s production of Describe the Night and has been seen most recently in Raven Theatre’s world premiere of brother sister cyborg space. Other regional credits include A Raisin in the Sun at American Players Theatre, Hands Up! at Alliance Theatre, Crumbs from the Table of Joy at Theater at Monmouth, and more.
