Both on stage and off, talented and dedicated people make possible Court Theatre’s mission to discover the power of classic theatre. In addition to employing part-time, full-time, and seasonal staff, Court also offers artistic and administrative internship programs for University of Chicago students. Court’s staff and guest artists are employed by the University of Chicago.

We hire part time freelance technicians and artisans on an ongoing basis depending on the specific needs of each production. Individuals with skills in any of the following areas are encouraged to send a resume and a letter of interest to courttheatrehiring@gmail.com: Audio Technicians, Carpenters, Costume Fabricators, Hair and Wig Stylists, Electricians, Makeup Designers, Props Artisans, Run Crew, Scenic Painters, Stage Managers, Video Programmers, and Wardrobe Crew.

Internships
Court Theatre’s internship program offers a unique, experiential learning opportunity for undergraduate students at the University of Chicago. The program is designed to offer in-depth exposure to a professional theatre through both focused work experience and a curriculum designed to broaden their knowledge of the field as a whole.
