DEBORAH BLUMENTHAL is a Chicago-based dramaturg. Court: Angels in America (Production Dramaturg), An Iliad (Assistant Director, 2011 staging). TimeLine: Oslo, A Shayna Maidel. Other Chicago dramaturgy credits include: Rent, Pal Joey, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, and A Class Act (Porchlight); All My Sons, Boy Gets Girl, and Beast on the Moon (Raven); Assassins (Chicago Humanities Festival). Deborah is a native New Yorker and prior to coming to Chicago, she worked in the literary offices of Second Stage, The Public, and Ars Nova. She is a proud UChicago alumna (MA, Humanities) and holds a BA in American Studies from Barnard College.
