Court Theatre’s Learning Guides and Content Collections focus on the historical context, themes, and artistic processes that transform a literary text into a piece of theatre.
Though each guide is specifically tailored to the educational opportunities presented by each production, typical Learning Guides include contextual background, character analyses, glossaries, classroom activities, and multimedia explorations of a production’s development.
Content Collections cover long-term projects that are Court hallmarks, like our staging of our Oedipus Trilogy or our completion of August Wilson’s Century Cycle. Content Collections cover these multi-production projects holistically, while also connecting the individual, show-specific Learning Guides therein.
Court provides this content free of charge to enhance our education initiatives. Please contact us before adapting the material for a different use. We ask that you credit Court Theatre in any classroom use.
