Directions to Court Theatre
Address: 5535 S. Ellis Ave. (12 minutes from the Loop in Hyde Park)

From Lake Shore Drive: Exit at 57th St. (Museum of Science and Industry). Turn right at the first light (Hyde Park Blvd.). Turn left at the next light (55th St.). Travel one mile to Ellis Ave. Turn left on Ellis and the theatre will be on the left.

From I-94 East: Follow signs to Lake Shore Drive via I-55. Turn South onto Lake Shore Drive. Exit at 57th St. (see directions above)

From I-94 West: The Garfield Blvd. Exit is currently closed for construction. Exit at 51st St. and travel East 1.2 miles to S. Cottage Grove Ave. Turn right on S. Cottage Grove Ave. and drive .5 mile. Turn left onto E. 55th St (.2 miles). Turn right at the second light (Ellis Ave.). The theatre will be on your left.

Parking at Court Theatre
Court Theatre offers free covered parking to its patrons on evenings and weekends in the garage directly north of the theatre.
There is also handicapped-accessible parking available in the garage.


Public Transportation to Court Theatre

From the Red Line: Exit at the 55th St/Garfield Stop. Cross the street and transfer to the #55 bus eastbound. Exit at Ellis Avenue. The Theatre will be directly south of the parking structure at Ellis Ave and 55th St.

By Bus: Court is accessible by bus on the following routes:
#55 (55th St. and Ellis Ave.)
#172 (56th St. and Ellis Ave; Free to University of Chicago students!)
#173 (57th St. and University Ave.).

Accessibility
If someone in your party has a disability that prevents them from moving between the covered parking garage and the theater building, there is a conveniently-located drop off in the parking lot in front of Court Theatre. [Although drop-offs are welcome, patrons are asked to please not park in the Young lot.]
Assistive Listening Devices are available free of charge. Please ask the concessionaire for assistance.
Wheelchair Seating is available. Be sure to inform the Box Office in advance of any special seating needs.
